Conferences
Annually, the United Sudanese Youth Organization(USYO) will host a conference in one of the cities where there is a substantial number of Sudanese youth or where a significant number of its members reside. The conference will serve as a venue where multiple subjects and youth concerns will be discussed. Started in 2008, the first Sudanese Youth Conference was held in Clarksville and Nashville, TN. The conference was such a success and as a result it drew almost 300 Sudanese youth from both the United States and Canada. Below are the objectives covered in our first conference and that will also be covered in the 2nd Annual Sudanese Youth Conference at a locationg and date to be announced soon.
Our Goals
1. Encourage a unified vision, mission, cohesiveness, and understanding among Sudanese Youth.
2. Provide Sudanese youth with valuable information on how to enroll in colleges as well as how to receive financial aid and scholarships through various processes.
3. Promote the conference to serve as an atmosphere for open dialogue between Sudanese youth and professionals in health, law and government professionals.
4. Provide an environment for the exchange and discussion of views among Sudanese youth and Sudanese elders.
5. Address the significance of the CPA and how execution or non implementation can not only shape but influence the future of the youth.
6. To make this a great networking opportunity among the Sudanese.
