About the United Sudanese Youth Organization


 

Mission Statement

The main goal of United Sudanese Youth is to bring together Sudanese Youth regardless of race, color, creed, gender, religious background, and ethnicity. USY will support and encourage Sudanese communities recognize youth with great achievements. In addition, USY will help youth interconnect, motivate one another to pursue higher learning, and most importantly, make young men and women learn other ethnic cultures and values. United Sudanese Youth will not only bring positive influence it will also educate youth about different Sudanese cultures which will create an awareness and respect among themselves. For example, doing activities together will encourage cultural awareness; therefore, creating an atmosphere of greater understanding and respect for any Sudanese culture. For the reasons above, USY has promised to make an activity to recognize those who have graduated from high schools and colleges once a year.

 

Our Vision


Since our establishment in 2005, United Sudanese Youth has created activities to uplift young Sudanese. In May 2008, USY held its first youth conference in Nashville/Clarksville, TN. The conference focused on youth development in education, health, law enforcement and other important growths. Additionally, the USY has several recognition events to show appreciation to high school and college graduates.
